Editorial Design
Oats is an editorial zine centered on film writing, with a name rooted in wordplay — "steel cut" oats echoing the "still cuts" used to bring film stills onto the page. The project explores how motion becomes flat through print (black-and-white newsprint, two-color constraint, still-frame imagery) while still feeling alive to the reader. Designed with sustainable printing in mind, the zine spans full editorial design, from layout and typography to image selection across every spread.
